Abstract

Over time, the use of technological tools to analyze processes has become very essential. Therefore, in this project, a comparison will be made between the real results of a cold cutting process of steel sheets, developed in a company in the metalworking industry, through the use of automated machines, and the results obtained from the simulation of the process in Arena® software. It begins with the observation of the conventional cutting process of cold steel sheet rolls, which was carried out in a period of 8 hours, equivalent to one working day. Once all the activities were observed and analyzed, the data obtained were recorded. Subsequently, the simulation of the production process was designed to compare the similarity between the results of the simulated model, vs the results of the real model. The simulated modeling results yielded 95% conforming values with 5% non- conforming. Finally, the real calculations show results of 94.46% compliance and 5.54% non-compliance, which indicates that the simulated process resembles the real process.
