Abstract

This article focuses on the creation of a school garden as a research tool that aims to understand students' knowledge about environmental issues, observing their influence to the extent that alternative solutions are proposed for the improvement of the possible motivational deficit present in the studied population. A qualitative study of a descriptive level with a phenomenological design was carried out, techniques such as observation were used and the population studied was twelve (12) tenth grade students and parents of the Jose Dadul Agroecological Technique IED of Bahia Honda, Pedraza (Magdalena). From the implementation of the activities it was found that for the development of the same there were limitations, such as; lack of interest of parents, who acted as companions for participating students, lack of space and time, cessation of academic activities, among others; However, it was possible to increase the motivation of both parents and students through research and the use of contemporary strategies.
