Venezuelan migration to Latin America: Causes and consequences. A vision from human development

The economic and social development of nations in search of a better quality of life for their inhabitants has been a constant concern not only of each State or government in particular, but also of multilateral organizations in general, concerned about the growing migration in recent years. years. The objective of this research was to analyze the economic and social development plan of Venezuela for the periods 2000 to 2019, measured in terms of the Human Development Index exposed by the United Nations Development Program and the migratory movement carried out during it period in Latin America. The research has a qualitative approach, the design is documentary bibliographic and the technique used is hermeneutics since scientific information searches are carried out to understand and explain the phenomenon of study. Finally, it is concluded that Venezuelan migration has caused variations in the economic and social development of the receiving countries, according to the study of the Human Development Index in terms of knowledge and human talent that make up the university institutions, which reflects a reduction for Venezuela in more than 50%, product of the resignation of academically prepared teachers who have decided to migrate to other countries such as Colombia and Peru.
