Emprendimiento femenino en América Latina: una aproximación teórica

El emprendimiento femenino ha sido un tema que ha despertado cada vez más el interés de los gobiernos, los académicos y la sociedad en general, debido a que se ha convertido en un factor que permite enfrentar importantes desafíos de la humanidad, como la inclusión, desigualdad y el estereotipo de género. En el caso específico de Latinoamérica, aproximadamente 3 de cada 10 mujeres no tienen ingresos propios, y según la CEPAL (2021) 118 millones de mujeres de esta región trabajan en la informalidad, tema empeorado por la pandemia Covid-19, que llevo la tasa de participación laboral femenina en el año 2021 al 46%, agudizando aún más, la desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres a nivel regional. Por tanto, dada la indiscutible relevancia del tema, este trabajo realiza un análisis de la investigación en emprendimiento femenino en América Latina para identificar sus determinantes y conocer cómo ha evolucionado. Para ello, se realizó una revisión de la literatura de manera sistemática de los documentos publicados en Web of Science. Los principales hallazgos permitieron identificar los determinantes que hacen que una mujer decida emprender a través de una clasificación de 4 categorías: Socioeconómicos, empresariales, políticos y psicológicos. Además, de hacer un análisis desde del emprendimiento femenino desde la teoría institucional. Finalmente, se sugieren algunas extensiones futuras de investigación debido a la importancia y falta de profundización del emprendimiento de género en Latinoamérica.
