Conceptions and approaches to learning problems in the program health to school: A predicament in the health-medicine-education relation

This paper presents a critical analysis about concep-tions and approaches of learning disabilities in the “Program Health to School”, particularly en route of attending population with Special Educational Needs (SEN), in order to do so, it is worth to men-tion that the Program derives from the alliance be-tween Secretaría Distrital de Salud (District Health Secretary) and Secretaría de Educación (Office of the Secretary for the District Education) to involve vulnerable populations, according to public policy acts regarding education. The research project was developed during the years of 2007 and 2008, and it was conducted by students of the Psychology and Pedagogy program from the Education Department of Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. Referents for the proposal’s development are the situations, ac-tors and scenarios involved in the formulation and implementation of the Program Health to School. In consequence, the proposal allowed provided a psy-chopedagogical contribution for the teachers’ work in public education institutions, inasmuch as a new con-ceptualization for pedagogy perspective is suggested facing the relation between health and education
