Abstract

Before addressing the purpose of this dissertation, it is necessary to make an introduction about why it is important to delve into the role of the expert psychologist in our country. In the first place, the Colombian State is facing enormous difficulties in responding to Colombian social problems, many of these conflicts come to the justice sector from the families themselves and are translated into crimes such as Absence of Food,

Domestic Violence and more seriously in Homicides. Secondly, the results of the implementation of the New Criminal System of the Accusatory type, which already completed its four phases in 2008, make it imperative to clarify the roles of the change operators, this is the case that concerns us when addressing the issue of experts in Colombia and even more specifically, that of the expert psychologist.
