The present research is qualitative, descriptive and is based on the implementation of the SLP methodology in a service station
in the municipality of Puerto Colombia. This tool is used to improve the design of production, storage and service facilities
in organizations. The purpose is to evaluate the plant layout of a service station, in order to formulate a proposal that allows
improving the design, distribution of its areas and guaranteeing safe movement of its collaborators, as well as optimizing the
storage of supplies and attention, in order to offer a safe and satisfactory experience for customers and increase the
productivity of the process and workers. For the development, the Systematic Layout Planning methodology was used, whose
steps involve the characterization of the process, the application of graphs and relationship diagrams, which according to its
application resulted in a new plant distribution design, where Expect a reduction in material handling, more efficient work
areas with a greater degree of flexibility, in addition to improving the work environment and customer service.
