Abstract

The objective of the article is to understand how the classroom practices of teachers in the I.E.D. Loma del Bálsamo based on actions of the Transformational Leadership, taking as a reference the approaches of Bass and Avolio (2006), Bolívar (2010), Leithwood (2009), Maureira (2013), among others. Methodologically, the Social Critical paradigm was assumed and the I-A strategy was applied. The results of the research showed that the teachers' practices were deficient and tense in the categories of teamwork, charisma, empowerment and communication, which generated a poor performance in their work. By applying an intervention plan with activities based on transformational leadership actions, a strong motivation was generated in the teachers, which led to changes in their praxis, new attitudes to help transform the school culture, as well as increase their individual and collective
