Visual pollution as commercial signs on urban areas can impair the joy on historical buildings.
This proliferation of commercial signs have increased in recently years without any type of legal
regulation. Casa Muvdi as a good sample of Art Nouve in the centre of Barranquilla has being
affected by commercial signs phenomena. The aim of this study has been to research the ornamental and architectural design composition of the Casa Muvdi’s façade. And identified colour
aesthetic values, generating a chromatic palette that will be used to enhance the historical figures
of the historical buildings as Casa Muvdi.
