Business impact of practice in program graduates of architecture of the University of Costa, CUC Barranquilla city - Atlantic

Abstract

With the creation, in 2005, the Observatorio Laboral de la Educación (OLE); el Ministerio de Educación
Nacional (MEN) establishes policies and tracking of graduates working relationship. Therefore, higher
education institutions in the country are driven to create, strengthen or consolidate research processes
for the working conditions of its graduates, occupational trend of its professionals in the world of work and
the opinion they have about studies. In the operationalization of the above policies, researchers of Architecture Program at the University of Costa, carried out the study of the employment impact of the students
who obtained the title of Architect since 2006 to 2013 from the analysis of the categories: General information, Employment status, Competencies, Complementary studies and Level identity with the institution and
impact on the social and academic environment. The investigation becomes an important input in plans for
improving the quality of the program, aiming to strengthen relations between the institution and graduates
and encouraging the pursuit of academic, cultural, social and business alliances.
