About the Journal

Aims and scope

Jurídicas CUC is a scientific, peer-reviewed, indexed, open-access international journal that is published on a continuous basis in an annual volume. Its purpose is to publish original contents (in Spanish and English) related to the legal and political sciences that offer innovative and relevant epistemological and methodological approaches. We publish research results, reviews and reflection articles that are subject to double-blind peer reviews and which must fulfill the requirements of the COPE ethics code to which we subscribe: Committee on Publication Ethics, as well as ELSEVIER: Publishing Ethics Resource Kit for Editors and the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity.

For the effects of accepting or turning down articles for publication, Jurídicas CUC has established a double-blind peer review process. Peer reviewers are selected at both the national and international level based on their expertise in the following areas of knowledge: law in general; political science in general; philosophy; theory and history of law and political science; legal and political sociology; legal and political outlook of public and private social organizations; legal, political and public ethics. The published scientific articles can be viewed and are available on an open source basis in electronic format, with annual periodicity and continuous publication. It continuously receives submissions year-round, free of any charges, fees or subscriptions in any stages of the publishing process. Universidad de la Costa is the journal’s publisher and sponsor. It is currently registered as an indexed journal with bibliographic indexing at: JCR - ESCI - Web of Science (Web of Science Core Collection), Scopus - ELSEVIER, MIAR (Information Matrix for the Analysis of Journals), vLex (Legal database containing jurisprudence, legislation, a broad selection of full-text books and journals, contracts, collective bargaining agreements and news releases), EBSCO Legal Source (Legal database), ERIH PLUS (is an academic journal index for the humanities and social sciences society in Europe), Latindex (On-line regional information system for scientific journals from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal), Dialnet (Database for dissemination of scientific production in Spanish), CRUE (Red de Biblioteca Universidades Españolas), Google Scholar (A web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines), REDIB (Iberian-American Network of Innovation and Scientific Knowledge), EBSCO Academic Source Plus (Information Services) ULRICHSWEB (Global Serials Directory), CIRC (Integrated Classification of Scientific Journals), CLASE (Latin American Social Sciences and Humanities Citations), BIBLAT (Latin American Bibliography), ScienceGate (Academic Search Engine), CORE (Collection of open access research papers), Scilit (Scientific Literature), JournalTOCs (Directory of Academic Journals), Research4Life (Online access to peer-reviewed academic and professional content for institutions in low- and middle-income countries), BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), Dimensions (Multidisciplinary bibliographic database covering all fields of knowledge).
