Abstract

Las organizaciones buscan diferentes mecanismos para lograr sobrevivir y mantenerse en el tiempo indagando en su legitimación para poder institucionalizarse (DiMaggio y Powell, 1983; Zucker, 1987). En las últimas décadas este es un tema que ha cobrado gran interés entre los académicos y directivos de empresas (Deephouse y Suchman, 2008) profundizando cada vez con el desarrollando investigaciones relacionadas con el tema para lo cual se  convertido en uno de los elementos fundamentales para entender la teoría institucional, es así, que para  Bansal y Clelland (2004), la búsqueda de la legitimidad en el contexto institucional eviene siendo uno de los principales argumentos en el momento de explicar el comportamiento de organizaciones hacia la sostenibilidad.
