The present study, assesses the implementation of a photovoltaic system in the citrus warehouse of the ESPCentro company, considering the structures to identify optimal orientations to improve performance. The system was simulated with the software PVSyst version 6.7. The system shows a potential to generate 1,173 MWh/year with an investment cost of 1,146,960 USD that would be recovered in 10 years considering the electricity savings, with a NPV of 677,229 USD in 25 years and an IRR of 14.86%. Additionally, the demand for electricity generated from fossil fuels will be reduced, thus reducing the emission of greenhouse gases.
