Abstract

This study discusses the energy audit on a metal foundry company in the municipality of Yumbo (Valle del Cauca), aiming at estimating the energy-saving potential. Energy management tools are used in this case, which allowed us to proposed different improvements accounting for a saving potential of 3367 kW-h for a period similar to the data period assessed. Additionally, the critical production of the process was defined in the assessment.
