Análisis comparativo de la vivienda social en las ciudades de Passo Fundo (Brasil) y Tunja (Colombia) desde una perspectiva de diseño resiliente

Resumen

Introducción: A través del crecimiento acelerado de las ciudades latinoamericanas en las últimas décadas, la construcción civil ha aumentado considerablemente, al igual que la demanda de vivienda social, especialmente en ciudades medianas, con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de vida. Objetivo: Este estudio compara las características de los proyectos de vivienda social en Passo Fundo (Brasil) y Tunja (Colombia), destacando aspectos como su ubicación, áreas/costo y materialidad. Metodología: Las ciudades fueron seleccionadas como objetos de estudio debido a sus similitudes, específicamente la concentración del ingreso y la ausencia de proyectos habitacionales que atiendan a la población más sufriente, impidiendo la expansión de sus capacidades. Este tema forma parte del proyecto: Estrategias de Diseño Resiliente aplicando tecnologías limpias a la vida social en Brasil y Colombia (año 3 - fase 4), desarrollado entre Atitus Educação y la Universidad Católica de Colombia. Para ello, se propusieron tres pasos metodológicos: geolocalización, análisis de área/costo y análisis de materialidad, que permitieron, además de identificar relevancia y singularidades, discutir su potencial de resiliencia al cambio climático. Resultados: Se encontró que el panorama general de la vivienda social en las ciudades intermedias latinoamericanas es similar; Sin embargo, existen algunas diferencias en términos de costos versus áreas. Asimismo, se observó que no se están utilizando materiales de bajo impacto ambiental para la construcción de viviendas sociales en los sitios de estudio, a pesar del creciente intento de lograr proyectos más sostenibles en la región. Conclusiones: Esta situación se debe principalmente a los intereses económicos predominantes de las empresas constructoras y, a su vez, al escaso interés por la innovación por parte de estos países.
